The Miracle League of Joliet initiated a Player Internship Program this spring, to give high school and transition aged players an opportunity to build skills and independence while at the ball field. It is an application-based process, either the player or their parents could complete the application process. Selection would be by the Miracle League of Joliet Board committee. Selected players would volunteer for up to an hour either before or after their game at a station identified to continue to build upon IEP or Transition skills areas. Players will work alongside Miracle League of Joliet volunteers and/or buddies. The specific job or station will be decided between the player, parents and Miracle League of Joliet Internship committee and ideally the player would rotate between job assignments.
Eligibility: be a registered Miracle League of Joliet Player of high school age or older
Application: Click here for the Google Form based application, which can be completed by either the player or parent/guardian.
